I got a pair of these shoes from Jensen at a closeout price. The Vibram sole is what caught my attention. The rubber is pretty tacky on a lot of sufaces. Fit is actually pretty good. My foot is pretty average in width and, although the footbed is narrow, it is comfy both on and off the bike. My first real ride on them was 6+ hours of both riding and hike-a-bike. Nicely done!

I’m done with vibram; in fact, I left a pair of $160.00 dollar boots near the mission for a wino to find, get the picture, vibram sucks.

I’ve used them since Christmas and am impressed with the fit and performance. The sole is stiff enough for all day rides while the vibram tread grips well when hiking. The only drawback is the buckle on the first generation model. It’s fragile, jams, and the spring which tensions the ratchet system slips out of position. It still works but the lever flops around as you ride. I fixed the problem by replacing the buckle and strap with some off of an old pair of Sidi’s.

I’ve had some of the cleats tear off on some older Lake MX165s, they also have vibram soles. I ordered mine too big so I end up with a lot of room in the toe which unfortunately contributes to toe overlap on my 29er. The rest of the shoe has held up fine for a little over a year so far. I’ll wear em until they fall apart mostly because I can’t afford to buy new ones.
