I picked a free membership a while back.
They're a great organization and I plan to PAY for a renewal when my current membership expires.

I was actually meaning to join but hadn't gotten around to it. I will definitely re-up when the time comes.

I also got a free membership when they made this offer recently. I have enjoyed the magazine (which they have been revamping) and appreciate the work they do producing maps, etc. A worthy enterprise. I'll be re-upping as well.

Back in 1997, I led a bikepacking missions trip to northwestern Russia. One of our team members was an Adventure Cycling/Bikecentennial life member, and she got me interested in the ACA. (She also left me her extensive collection of "
Adventure Cycling
" magazine when she passed away!) I have been a member ever since. I use their maps on the Lewis and Clark, Northern Tier, Northern Lakes and Adirondack Loop bicycle routes, and I read the magazine cover to cover, even in the off season. If you can join for free, do it! You'll keep coming back.
Ride safe,
Hans

I really appreciate the ACA, too, and all their efforts to promote what we enjoy doing. Lately, I have enjoyed their photos on Instagram, etc. Nice way to get inspired about the next trek.
