Almost Sub12 Trans Iowa Training Overnighter

While Trans Iowa is not really a bike packing race/ride, as part of my training, a buddy helped plan a little adventure for me and some like minded friends.  He planned the course and handed me the cue sheets at 10pm and we rode off into the darkness with 6 other friends.  We crashed for about 2.5 hours alongside a rail trail before finishing our century ride the following morning.

This was only my second bike packing trip and it has me itching for some more this summer (after TI next weekend).

Looks like a nice crew and a good time. Even a tandem in there, yea! TFPU.

But wait a sec. If I sleep in the middle of a 3-hour ride, does that make it bikepacking? I reckon it does : )
