Price is right, weight is right... However, 7-9 stakes is a big turn-off. For backpacking, bikepacking at leisure mode and with the sun up, it's not a big deal to work out all that staking. I'm looking for something that's easy to pitch at night, when I'm dog tired and brain-dead... Something that beats the TarpTent Moment...
Have you checked out the Tarptent Contrail? It is 9 oz lighter than the Moment (w/pole, it weighs 26 oz), $70 cheaper, and pitches in about 90 seconds (60 seconds w/practice). It does take 4 stakes, though (if it is really windy/stormy, two extra side stakes may be worth the extra oz or so, though not necessary, YMMV). I do like tents, though, for bikepacking, particularly when it is raining. I like being able to get up, get dressed and get most of my stuff packed (gear, clothes, pad, bag, etc.) while sitting up in a dry tent b/f going out in the rain.
