Found this from a very recent trip in Florida:

Would love to hear more about the route they took and what the trails are like.

This also turned into a bunch of corresponding video blogs that went along with my first bikepacking trip..LOL, I had a lot fun with it. If you go to my blog it all happened in December of 08 and its pretty funny.

How'd you like the hammocks? My son and I just picked up a couple of Hennessy Hammocks for ourselves. Which model was that in the pics?
Thanks for the report.

Those are Hennessy Expedition Asym. The hammock is great. Very, very comfortable to sleep in, super easy to set up (especially if you also purchase the snake skins).
BUT I would not use one in cold weather (YMMV, I'm a cold sleeper). What happens with the hammock is that you compress the sleeping bag insulation and any body part that is touching the hammock will get cold. Temps dropped to the mid 20s one night and my back/feet were really cold while I was really warm everywhere else. If you browse the hammock forums you'll see quilts, undercovers etc... to combat this. Personally, I would rather sleep on the ground with a tarp and pad at that point...
The weekend was really dry, so I can't comment on its wet weather performance...
