Decision time: Do I spend the extra dollars (~approximately $100 Australian + postage) for the Bedrock Coconino or go with the lower priced Revelate Designs Terrapin.  I want the ability to easily remove the bag from the bike for packing in the tent etc. I also like the concept of the RailWing assuming it works as well as it is said to. On the downside I am paying around a 1/3 more for this feature. Worth it? Is is the sway really a big issue with the Terrapin?

Thanks

I don't have the Terrapin but a sister bag by Revelate. It moves around a little particularly on technical trails. Not so much that that I've felt that I need a bracket, but I travel relatively light (one night overnighters).

You might want to look at Porcelain Rocket. The have a model with a bracket that extends off the seat post underneath the bag.  http://www.porcelainrocket.com/product/mr-fusion-seat-system/. As I understand it though, they are back-ordered.

That amount of movement is something I could live with I think.

I did consider Porcelain Rocket but being able to jag an a window when he is actually taking orders has got all to hard so dropped them off the short list. I think the Bedrock Coconino is probably comparable; mind you it does not get much comment online.

You just missed an uninterrupted 3-year window of us taking/building orders...but yeah, pretty tough to squeak in there.

While there is a lead time with the products we make, they are generally always available, excepting the times that we are closing for adventures of our own.

We really need to get over this 'have it now' mindset...

Available from where?  I have been visiting the PR website for regularly months and there has not been any option to place on order.
Perhaps the PR website has been broken all this time?

Orders closed on April 25th, as I'm going away for a month-long fatbike trip in August and the queue was full until then.  You could place an order through the site for years before that.  We have built and shipped over 300 Mr. Fusion V2's in the last year...

The site will be open to orders in July.

I apologize if it is frustrating to have to wait for something you want.

Seriously - I think you need to check your site. As stated I have visited regularly and not been able to place an order as the shop page displayed no option to add items to the cart.  I've not had any response to a message left on the contact page, and I've noted the blog page has not been updated in a year. I came to believe you had ceased operations and purchased elsewhere.

Sounds like you don't need/don't care  about my business but it is rather irritating to be told you're impatient after waiting more than a year to order.

I don't need it till mid-September which is why I want to finalise the decision now. That said like RonK I have been keeping an eye on the website regularly over the past 12 months without any ability to place an order. Maybe there is something we are missing.  That said happy to place an order if I can get delivery by mid September in Australia but I suspect with your August off I will be pushing it.
