Rather than using longer shift cables I shortened each to pass to the  INSIDE  of the stem instead of crossing in front of it and passing on the other side of the stem. The hydro cables are full length and I didn't need to fuss with them. Attached an "everything" picture to show just how much stuff I'm running up front. Mind you I'm not racing but doing an extended solo mountain tour of Swiss Alps and Italian Dolomites.

Don't have any pics of mine at the moment but mine are all standard length. Just take your time whilst loading stuff up, check where the buckle and straps will interfere and route them under/over as applicable.
