Would love to hear the pros and cons of this sort of stuff. I can't think of any pros, so someone please fill me in.

I hear ya, seems everywhere one goes there's an ugly groove carved in the ground with a parking lot marking it's start :- )

Yea, signage is totally pointless. I don't use GPS, paper or queues, either. I ride naked with a wrist sundial. For some reason I always end up hiking and benighted, but at least I leave no trace.

Just to be clear, this is about the sticker that someone placed on the official sign.

The fact that we had no idea what you were referring to probably says something. glasses2

In my local forest, I'm thankful for random stickers on signs. They're a lot easier to deal with than spray paint and other kinds of vandalism, so maybe you should count your blessings and knock on wood for first-world problems. Most are not difficult to remove. A paint scraper or classic box cutter in scraper mode are tools for the job. Sometimes I just paint over them.

Cheers...

I'm guessing what carbonguy was really trying to do was thank all those AZ bro's that have spent hundreds of hours and much money putting the AZT together......but it came off in a snarky left coast way.

.....no worries :- )
