It is a little off topic but... If you have Netflix with instant streaming check out a movie called Cycles South. Made in 1971, it follows 3 guys documentary style from Colorado to the Panama canal on motorcycles. It is not about bicycles but IMO embodies the spirit and adventure of a bikepacking trip. Many of the things they do are not unlike what we do now on bikes. You may dig it?
