Write-up Here

Basically, Oakland on BART to San Francisco, over the Golden Gate Bridge to Rodeo Beach. From the beach through Mill Valley, up Railroad Grade to Pan Toll Station. Camp, down RRG, Sausalito, Bridge, BART, Oakland to home.

70 miles for the weekend, 6600' of climbing.

Nice ride and report! Congrats on getting out there, especially solo.

Power to you for making changes for the better. I can't think of a better use for a bike than getting to know yourself better.

Grab a PLB or Spot? I never solo without one; now I take on most b/c rides. Stay safe, Pop Smiley

I like the macguyver bike!  As far as weight, see if you can make one thing do two things.  Like a compression sack stuffed full of clothes makes a helluva pillow and a waterproof sock in a pinch.
