Howzit going everybody,

Well I finally got out the door on my first trip, as someone else has already said here getting out the door is the hardest part!

Anyway, I'm a kiwi (New Zealander) living in Australia so here is a link to my blog and a bit of a write up on my first trip. I know I'm being a bit lazy by just posting a link but I will add it to the site later.

My set up is pretty basic and definitely over kill for what I needed, but you learn these things I guess. I had a stuff sack with clothes, sleeping mat, food strapped to the rear rack along with my 2 person tent. In my Talon 22lt pack I had my rain jacket, an extra layer, first aid kit, stove, food, tent poles and a few tools. Strapped to the front of the bike I had my sleeping bag stuffed in a compression sack along with the fly sheet for the tent.

The setup worked well but it was way to heavy, I will be investing in some new equipment over the next month or two.

cheers

Paul
