So I got my new tent delivered yesterday, tarptent scarp 1. It a good kilo lighter than my old tent, but I made a bit of a cock up, and its pack size is somewhat longer than I was expecting. I used to strap my old tent to the handlebars in an alpkit airlock drybag.

Does anyone have any suggestions for the same sort of thing, but longer and slimmer?

I don't really want to get a sling from revelation, as that then starts to eat into the weight saving made from buying a new tent.

OR or Outdoor Research makes a variety of small dry bags that's what I use for my pad on the bars.

That's not the OR site but a store they do have a sizing chart though. I made my own sling it's just a flat piece of cordura with some straps and buckles to make things easier to put together. It also has a strap that goes down to the fork crown to prevent sway. Then I add a buckle strap around the whole thing.
