It's a contest where you sleep outdoors in your bag, then enter by telling me how many nights you spent outside. The most nights wins at the end of the year, or you can win the bi-monthly prize or a random prize at the end of the year.
It's to promote people getting outdoors and spending time in nature.

Ah ok. Sounds sweet. So does sleeping in the back of your truck count when there is snow on the ground or does it need to be tent camping?

Round one saw two lucky adventures win some sweet Outdoor Research jackets. Round two is offering up so cool Stanley gear and Action Wipes.
The contest is year long and all bag nights count so if have been bike packing enter those nights. With a Grand Prize and a random Grand Prize, anyone can win at the end, 1 night or 100.
Right now first place on has 6 nights for the round (3/1-4/30) , so get those nights recorded.

Your probably right but I really put this contest together for those who have been taken control by their computers and other technology and need a push to get back out there. It's about being outside and just living, not so much about who's the toughest. If I can motivate even a handful of people, I'll feel good about it.

Yeah, it's a fun contest. I'm just jealous that I'm not going to win it--and not because I'm too far away from a computer to post updates, but rather because I'm too tied to a damn computer to get out enough! |

Sounds fun. The kind of thing I could have done quite well at a year or two ago when I was doing trail routing and backpacking all the time...but not feasible now that I have a 9-5 job in a metropolis  |
