I was just at one of Tucson LBS getting geared up for the Coconino and I mentioned that some friends as expressed interest in bike packing but wanted to be able to rent some of the more specific gear. Long story short the guy said he would consider stocking a seat post bag and handle bar sling and putting them out for rent.

Any interest, thoughts?

I'm gonna bring this up with my local shop. Sounds like a great idea.

The guy here would be willing to ship stuff out once he gets it.

Seems like a good idea to me.  Some people want to try bikepacking but may not want to spring for something like a seatpost bag until they are sure it's for them.
