Thats the listing. Do you guys think I should go for it? I have no experience at all. I am trying to get a quality bike to get around campus and I will maybe go on a bikepacking trip months from now.

Watch out for older ones. The bottom brackets are none standard and difficult to get hold of. Peugeots can be a bit of a nightmare as some have French BBs, others Belgian, and some English (or rather, Shimano - now the standard).
If the bottom bracket is good - no grinding feeling or looseness, then it will probably be okay, though it's always better to take it apart and check/clean/re-grease it. Quite a awkward job with old BBs.
