Yes, he kinds of makes me blush. I get so caught up in gear that I sometimes forget just to go cycling. Lesson learned.

Seriously, what was on his gear list?
Fishing pole, tarp, saw?

I laughed when he said something like "got cold so I need to get on the bike and warm up" in the morning. Might be a little warmer sleeping outside in the spring with a sleeping bag!

I like the metal enamalware cup he's using, most guys would have to have one of those $80 titanium ones!

Cool theme and location... too bad this was an underhanded attempt from the big "S" to try to capture market share.

Having met him, I can tell you the boy is a tough mother... and remember he makes a living riding, so it's part of his job to promote the sport anyway he can. I for one have mad respect for those guys.

I don't think making sweet videos is an underhanded anything by it's nature. It seems to be made out of a genuine love of riding and film making. Nothing wrong with that. Wish more people would make more sweet videos like those documenting the lost coast ride and this little dity. p.s. Do we have the authority to call anything EPIC? I thought someone cornered the market on all things epic already.

Makes me want to ride my bike. Mission accomplished, that video might just get a few more people to get out there on their own.

First, there is absolutely nothing wrong with drinking untreated water if you do so in an educated manner. Secondly, I think this film is exceptionally done. It is hard to tell whether it was just Matt out there doing all the video'ing himself or if there was a film crew also along for the ride.
I would like to know just what he was carrying for gear though because that pack he was wearing definitely didn't have a sleeping bag in it. There was however room in it for all the stuff he used on film. That must've been one cold night if he was sleeping in nothing but that shell next to a campfire.
