i've been half looking at one of those for awhile...I really want to use two or three schmidt generator hubs (to charge a batteryand one or two electric drive wheels running off of that battery

I saw these a coupla years ago at an interbike kinda show (Ausbike).
I still don't know what to say.
Brainchild of a couple of aussies, IIRC there was also a trailer that was like a BOB on steroids.

Only 56 pounds (not including other gear like cookstuff, food, water, bag, clothing, etc.) Yet, strangely compelling...

With the legs, I'm not sure why it needs 4 wheels. And it seems of it was a better blend of modern tent with trailer it would be way lighter.
I'll have to dig out some bookmarks of a designer who builds wooden (think boat and airplane buiding) recumbents with pull along sleeping quarters. Simply stunning, and likely lighter!

I do quite like the look of those little trailers, especially the http://www.extrawheel.com/ (be nice if it came in a lefty, could probably rig something up using the truing adaptor) But I don't really fancy carrying the bike then having to go back for the trailer when the terrain becomes unrideable. |

I have been intrigued by the Extrawheel as well and wondered how it fairs on steeper and more challenging terrain. Anyone have experience with it?
