Overnighter in the Santa Ana MTN's

Trailer seems like a bit of overkill for an overnighter. Did you pack a lot of extra stuff or where you carrying for both? Looks like there was a small frame pack & Handlebar bag on the other bike.... just curious

Oh, and great looking trip. Weather seems to have been on your side.

Stephen was the one with the trailer.  He was carrying his gear, I was carrying mine(I've got the blue 29er)

You'd be surprised how well he handled the trailer.  He usually uses it with 50 lbs of tools/chainsaw, so 15lbs of camping gear wasn't too tough for him.

Nice trip Rob. You look like you have lots of stand over on that bike - might be a good place for a bag/storage.

With that setup I had the JANDD bag in the frame with a 70oz camelbak bladder.  The other bag on top I got from Mike Curiak which was made for a Lenz.

Nice pics and report :-) Did you have to modify the Jannd bag to get a bladder in there, I've got one hanging around ti might be worth playing with... And on the bars, are you just using the compression straps of the sea to summit bag for attachment or some others too to keep it in place? Does it have anything to stop it swinging around?

I'm using two webbing straps with buckles, and one of the straps from the compression bag goes behind the stem.

The Camelbak bladder fit really well in the JANDD bag, no modification needed.
