Being from Minnesota I could not help notice how many other folks from the area are on this board.  I would not have guessed it would be so popular up here.

If you are from the area, post up.

Also, I am trying to schedule a trip up to the Maah Dah Hey trail in late May or early June.  My plan is drive up on Thursday to Medora, Ride to the end on Friday, camp overnight, then turn around and get back to Medora on Saturday.  Few beers, sleep, then drive back to Minneapolis on Sunday.  200+ miles over two days thumbsup

The dates could be very fluid as any rain on the trail tends to make them unrideable. BangHead

Anyone up to join me?

I am in MN too. 200 mi in two days is a bit much for me, but have fun, I love that trail!

I am in Mpls too.

You ever ridden MDH?  I hear anything more than 50 a day is brutal on that trail.

I've not ridden the MDH but have been reading ride reports.  It is tougher than it sounds but I am setting a goal of 100 miles back to back.  If it takes me 16 hrs to go 50 miles, then so be it.  I'll pull out the bag, sleep, and head back on day two.  Ultimately, I am looking to put two long days in fully loaded as a shake down for CTR.

Sound fun?

It would be for me, thirty seemed to be about right for me, but I think it is probably one of the easier long trails out there. not that much vertical, not that rough on many sections.
some people ride 12 mph on the road and some 25....

So i'd say if you can do back to back 100 mi days on any (true offroad) trail, the MDH might be it.

MN 'Local', but late May/Early June isn't going to work for MDH...There's a few other things going on.

Good chance of the river being too high to cross that time of year.
