Got this photo from Simon Kennett, race director for the Kiwi Brevet down in New Zealand.

When it takes multiple people to get a bike through, you know you're doing some quality hike-a-bike.

The race was quite a success -- a high finish rate and the traffic and interest on the www.trackleaders.com SPOT tracker was comparable to Tour Divide.  Very cool to see a successful GDR-style event elsewhere in the globe!

Congrats Simon.

Don't worry, that'll happen on the GET:

Had to get through that one solo, and it was a bit, uh, interesting.

GET race will probably happen one of these years...
