Hello,

I will be riding my bike from Prudhoe Bay, AK to the Grand Canyon starting on July 2.  Though most of the route is on pavement we are going to search out dirt roads from time to time to keep it interesting.  At over 5000 miles of riding I'll be in great shape to do some bike packing come this fall.  If you want to follow along on my adventure you can do so at my site, http://www.adventuresofscatman.com or by liking our Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/ParksAndRecCyclingTour.  At some point soon I'll have a Spot as well.

Any suggestions of cool places to see, roads to travel, or locations of hot springs along our route are welcome.

Here is a list of my camp clothes and gear.  http://www.adventuresofscatman.com/2012/06/bike-touring-camp-and-clothes-list/

I have added a bug jacket from Columbia to this list and a few other items but limited time has kept me from updating the list.

I can't believe I leave in 5 days!

Epic adventure!  If you are interested in lodging in Oregon on your return trip or local info, I am in McMinnville.

Thanks Mosibiker!  I'll keep you in mind. Though being so close to home we'll probably blast right through OR (we'll be in a car at that point).
Never hurts to have options!
