I use a couple of different base layers when I ride. I have some Nike black and upper and leg heavy fleece layers. I wondered if anyone uses Under Armour products.

Mapmyfitness sent out a discount code. $40.00 off $100.00+. 40% is a decent savings especially if I can get some decent base gear.
In particular I was looking at these.

Somewhere between my usual base layer and fleece.

I don't have experience with that particular item but I have several UA base layer (heatgear and coldgear) products that are really fantastic.  The coldgear tops I have are comfortable, add a ton of warmth, don't get the "poly pew" stink and to top it off they never seem to wear out.  They are the only gear I've used that manages to rival wool.

I haven't bought any in 8 years or so. I never felt like it worked very well, and it got really smelly. I know a few people who swear by it, so maybe I'm crazy, but it wasn't for me.

I'll probably pick up a top and bottom of them since the discount is so good. I will likely supplement them with some merino wool items and just go and see what works.

I'm looking to ride the upper 1/4 of the TD route in mid June. The weather there is quite a bit different than what we get in the Appalachians here where I live so gear is a real unknown variable. If it is a dry year, the gear would be different than if it is a wet one. Obviously. But the balance between too little, too much, just right and not too heavy and the loading on the bike is a fine line.

Thanks for the thoughts.
