Thought you guys (and gals) would appreciate this...
I have been making a few bags over the past few years...
My kids have been bugging me that they wanted frame packs as well. So for xmas, Santa sewed a pair for their 20" bikes. They might be the only 6 and 8yo's equipped for s24o. Not sure what they intend to put in them (probably legos) but hey. They wanted them, and I had enough material left over after making the last bag for my pugsley.
I used velcro closure, not zippered - but the velcro works well enough I might try it on one of my bags. And I didn't line them with silnyl, and I didn't make them out of one piece of fabric like I normally do. I hope they don't notice.
