I have been digging into this for a bit now. If you are only looking for an option with a few liters of space you have a couple of options. Rogue Panda, Rockgiest, Porcelain Rocket (6.5"), Ortlieb and Bedrock all make bags the should fit within 6ish inches and seem to range in the 4-8 liter capacity. If you need/want something lager it seems like the options get much fewer. So far I have only come across Rogue Panda (not yet available) and Ortlieb (not confirmed by me, but might pick one up to see for sure) that make larger bags that have minimal tire clearance. This is at least what I have come across so far. I am in the same boat as you. I have 6 maybe 6.5" of clearance from my seat rails to tire when the suspension is fully compressed. This gets tricky.

I'm hoping for something larger than 4-6L. So far Porcelain Rocket Charlene, Rockgiest Gondola and a couple others will fit with the smaller capacity. That Rogue Panda Ripsey looks good, also if you got the bucks the Arkel Seatpacker 9 may be a possiblity IF you can run a strap around it to pull the low spot up...with the frame it has I can not see why it wont work. BUT the price is a show stopper.

The Ortlieb medium seat bag apparently works with 6" of room. Per some forum digging. Also, the new Rogue Panda Highline will most likely work once they come out. Up to 13ish liters.

Problem is the Highline is no longer dropper compatible according to them, I liked it as soon as I saw it but as you say "when they come out", may not be in time for me even if I can make it work.

Check how much room there is when the rear suspension is at full compression. That will tell you how much room you really have to work with.

I appreciate the input but you might want to look at the picture I posted showing the rear suspension at full compression- its on the bump stop and the spring is OFF THE BIKE So 6" is what I really have to work with Check how much room there is when the rear suspension is at full compression. That will tell you how much room you really have to work with.

The spring coils are in the background. The Air Lift 1000s are a nice touch. |

Good eye Two Tired, 2006 Pontiac GTO stock springs with drag bags- I changed to coil overs. Just changed the bike from steel 300lb to Ti 350lb spring. My wife also rides a Canfield One says its like riding a couch, as far as being comfortable, hers is the AM oriented V1 mine the DH V2.
