I was just reading through someones journal on the divide and their OMM rear skewer broke.  Has anyone heard of this happening often, or if this is just a fluke / bad luck?

I have not had an issue with mine and I regularly ride my 11year old on the rack.  Having read this now I will check it.  I have been using mine for well over 2 years and oh maybe 1200 miles +/-

I'm 10yrs in to using 8 or so OMM racks on various bikes. I've never had a failure.

Anything can break though so the odd failure doesn't surprise me.

safe riding,

Vik

I bent the QR lever on one of their 170mm skewers...still functional but bent...I'm told I tend to over-tighten my QR's...
