I'm looking to upgrade my bike light and ran across these guys:

Wondering if anyone's used them? $50 for 1000lumens. Seems too cheap to be good?

I basically have the same one. I bought them from GeoMan Gear (which is no longer in business). Anyway, they are awesome. There is nothing that is even close to comparing to these lights in the same price range. Super bright and long lasting.

For $50 its worth trying them.

It looks like the standard MagicShine clone with a unique reflector and lens to improve the beam.   The power, lum, is probably exagerated as well as the battery mAh.  A lot of the clones use a driver which has three settings, 100%-30%-strobe, so this one might be slightly different.   I bought a similar model for $38 without their lens/reflector combo and use it on my town bike.   Build quality is fair.  The bolt securing the mount to the light loosens, the wires are too long, the battery holder is cheesy, and the runtimes aren't nearly as long as they claimed but for the price it was a good deal.

Yeah a quick google search found a million different clones. This one is interesting:

It'll take AAA batteries and it's 14 bucks. High quality stuff I'm sure!

yeah i have a magicshine and two clones and two flashlight versions.  they all are the same lumes, very bright.  any two will turn night into day.

the flashlight ones hold one 18650 battery and (2 or 4 of those)lasts a little longer than the double and four 18650 handle bar ones.

all bought on ebay.  not superlight but bright and dependable.  the first version of the magicshine had battery problems that were fixed.  sometimes the 18650 rechargable single batteries poop out after 2-4 months, but they are soo cheap i just throw them away and get more.
