The trip you guys took does look like fun. I have recently moved into that area of Dallas and have been exploring the Trinity as time permits. Also, I was the guy standing on river right taking pictures as you guys were going through the Standing Wave.

You guys are right. The Trinity River is a great resource and I wish more people would get out there and take advantage of it. I've found it to be the perfect place for several adventures. I just got a Garmin etrex and I'm slowly building up a collection of routes. PM me if you ever want some GPX files.

I've found there are a lot of trails by the river but they don't always connect.  The bikerafts are a great way to get from one trail to the other in a fun way.
