I thought some of you might enjoy a trip report from eastern Canada:

Truly stunning!  Thank you for the write-up.  How many months of the year is this area
bikeable?  Someday I'm hoping to get out to the maritimes and would like to do some
biking.  Do you have any riding experience on PEI?

I bike all year-round.  In the spring I am usually on the roads as the trails are very soft.  Summer and autumn are for mtn biking of all sorts and the winter is fatbike season.

I haven't ridden in PEI since I was a road racer but I can tell you that there are lots of quiet back roads and the terrain is rolling.  There is a trail that runs the entire length of PEI that was the old railway:

PEI also has lots of beaches that may be suitable for a fatbike.

Nice! Newfoundland/Labrador is on my bucket list for biking and fly fishing for a long time now.

Thanks for the info on PEI.  Is there enough salinity in the air that you notice the corrosive effects
on your equipment over time?

None noticed, though the salt used on the roads here is quite nasty to the bike.

Wow excellent blog and trip reports thanks I'm a subscriber.

My feeling toward HT as well. Thank god for FS.
