Awesome report, thanks for posting!

Is there any way to connect what you rode to Ape Canyon / Plains of Abraham?  That one has been on my list for a long time if I can ever get up there in the summer

Yes, you'd just keep going up on NF-99 for another 1.3 miles to Windy Ridge instead of taking the Smith Creek trail. I did the Plains and Ape the day before, so I wanted to see something new. Now that I know both, I think that the Plains and Ape have better riding conditions and more spectacular views than Smith Creek.
