I had this wheelset built for a bikepacking adventure last year. The wide rims coupled with wide tires (2.3-2.6") make for great traction and a plush ride. The wheelset has about 1,500 miles and is in great shape (it does have a few scratches but no dents). Disc rotors and QR are included. Selling because new bike has Boost spacing.
RIMS: Light Bicycle RM29C07 (30mm inner width, 35mm outside width, 25mm depth, 420+15 gr).
FRONT HUB: SON 28, Anodized, ISO disc, 32H, 100mm, 15mm thru axle, 160mm Avid rotor.
REAR HUB: DT Swiss 240S 32H 135mm QR, Center Lock Disc (w/ 36T ratchet star), SRAM XD driver, 160mm Avid rotor.
SPOKES: Wheelsmith DB, 2.0mm (14g).
Asking $650.

I can see DT Swiss conversions to change out this rear axle to a 142 x 12, but does anyone know if this can be converted to a 148 x 12?

building up a fargo with 100 front and 148 rear, although I think I can get reduction plates for the rear for 142 (never seen this in practice)

Interesting idea! Someone with a 3D printer and design capabilities could do this easily.

No need. Salsa makes reduction plates so that the bike can be used with 148 or 142. Might be interested in these if I decide to build up the bike with 142 rear.

Do you still have these? And have you ever put a road tire on these and if so what is the narrowest tire that you think will fit on these? Thinking I might need to occasionally put on tires for road touring so wanting to know what will fit.

Hi, Sorry for the late reply, I was in the middle of a big move. Yes, I still have them. I haven't put road tires on them but I was just about to throw a pair of Schwalbe Big One LiteSkin ( https://www.amazon.com/Schwalbe-LiteSkin-Beach-Bicycle-Tire/dp/B016QJSGR2). Apparently, they roll incredible fast for the size and they only weigh 440 gr each. There's a guy that has a bargain on a pair of those here: http://www.mtbnj.com/forum/threads/schwalbe-big-one-liteskin-29x2-35-2-for-30.43541/. I don't know what skinny road tires would fit these rims. Just FYI, there's two other guys interested on these (I put them up in Pinkbike, a bit higher . They are looking for the adapters they need. Let me know if you're interested. Thank you.
