Sailrite Ultrafeed LS-1 Walking Foot Sewing MachineI'm selling a used Sailrite Ultrafeed LS-1 walking foot sewing machine. This is a great straight stitch machine with reverse (no zig zag). It's portable too, originally designed to be taken on boats for sail repair, etc. Sailrite are a US based company with good customer service and have some nice how-to/troubleshooting videos. This is a workhorse and a great starter heavy duty machine for anyone looking to make their own bags, repair gear, etc.
I bought it new about two and a half years ago (for $750 shipped I believe) and have used it to make frame bags, bikepacking gear, backpacks, etc for myself and others. It can handle multiple layers of Cordura, XPAC, canvas, leather, webbing, velcro, etc. With a smaller needle and lighter thread it can be used for light duty household sewing, too. It has been well maintained, regularly oiled, and is in good working condition. I'm selling it because I upgraded to a more industrial Juki machine and no longer need this. Just oiled it up and tested it after it has been sitting unused for the past few months.
