My wife and I just moved our daughter out of the house and are selling everything and taking off on our tandem. No need for hammocks.
Sad news from Steve's wife:
My husband, Steve Patterson of Durham, North Carolina, passed away on May 11, 2011. He posted frequently on your forum, the single green leaf amongst the fallen ones.
He and I had planned an around the country tandem bicycle tour commencing the first day of Summer, this coming Tuesday.
On this day those by his side when he passed away will go cross country by vehicle to Scottsdale, Arizona for his Memorial. We will camp all of the way in his honor.
He was the kind of a person that people cannot imagine a world without. Fortunately, I never ceased to make him aware of that.
I was blessed with 25 years (to the day) with him. We won't be on the tandem again together.
