The poles are very, very short. The entire thing, poles included, fits in a stuffsack the size of a Nalgene. Including the Tyvek ground sheet, which is also included. On the only trip I used the tent, I put the whole thing, poles and all, in an Anything Bag on the fork, whcih also held my sleeping pad. Pad, poles, tent, ground sheet, all in a bag no bigger than a water bottle. Pretty cool. The best part is the quality of the tent. Make no mistake, it's hyper-light and you don't want to abuse it, but for what it is, it is impressively made.
