I'm guessing that those of us that have bought them are really happy with them.

Just got contacted last week by Sheila at Jones Bikes (sheila at jonesbikes dot com) and they have limited availability coming up in November. I got my order in, if you want one of these bars you better act fast as they won't last.
Good luck!
Kip

I've owned several pairs of the original ti "H" bar. I like the hand positions and the sweep and am very grateful that Jeff is constantly tweaking the design, however $140 for a Asian made aluminum bar is a little steep, especially where there are so many alternate bars out there. I didn't want to wait or spend that kind of $ on a bar that Jeff isn't even making himself anymore.
I opted for the Origin 8 Bullnose, they are a throwback to the original Nitto bars from the clunker days.
For more sweep check out the Surly Moloko bar

Out of curiousity, when did the production of the Al bar move to APAC? I'm giving strong thought to either an H or the Moloko bar for my Mukluk. The photo of the Moloko from Surly's site doesn't really show how much like the loop bar it really is IMO. Steve Steve

Steve, with the exception of prototype stuff Jeff isn't building anything anymore. In the pre '08 economic melt down days he had a 3+ year waiting list for builds, then partnered up with Merlin to make the M-Jones Ti Space Frames. He had Titec make the riser (horrid) "J" bar, and later the much better (31.8 too) Alu "H" bar. The titec relationship went tits up as did the relationship with Merlin. Jeff then sourced some good builders in Asia somewhere (anyone know specifics?) and they have been making making all of his frames, forks, bars. He has to order in batches and only does so when there is enough demand to justify the cost for him. I guess because he's keeping the relationship and dealing with customs and all that fun stuff, the price isn't terrible, given that he doesn't have the purchasing power of titec or easton. I'd sure be a lot happier if he could just sell the rights to the bar to a big name guy so the consumer cost would be better, but hell if it works for him and he's got creative control, can't blame him.
I agree, I'd like to see a Moloko in person the pictures aren't very compelling to make me want to buy.
The big issue for me with the Origin 8 for anyone who's interested is that since the stem is integrated, you have no ability to adjust the angle so it's either x* down or x* up

FatBob - Thanks for the info! Here's a better photo of the Moloko Bar from Guitar Ted's Website. A little straighter across the front, but that's not necessarily a bad thing
