Frame bag I made back in the summer for my KM. It has held up well for a week-long mostly paved tour and an overnighter. Though I learned a lot from this one which I applied to later projects and will probably make another bag with two pockets/divider/etc for my bike for next summer (if I don't trade it up for an Ogre or Fargo).

Second frame bag I made earlier this fall for a friend's El Mariachi Ti (size small).

A little top tank bag I made in the same session. Has padding on the bottom.

A little more traditional style mini front or rear bag with duck canvas materials. Can fit on the handlebars or attach to the back of a Brooks saddle and seat post. I made a second one in dark green for my gf's bike.

This is my most recent project, a larger rando-style handlebar bag for touring or day rides, intended to mount on a front rack with velcro straps. Duck canvas, vinyl interior, lots of pockets. Measures about 11x7x7.

More photos and other projects on my blog thing here. Get in touch if you'd like a bag.

Finished up this small trunk bag recently for a front rack on a Pugsley. It came out nicely with black XPAC fabric on the exterior, red ripstop nylon lining most of the inside, a waterproof zipper, a loop for a blinker, some d-rings and stretch cord on top.

Looks awesome!! Did you use any foam or anything for stiffening up the sides?? It's cool to see other projects than the standard framebag/seatbag/handlebar sling that is usually done.

I didn't put in a stiffener, though I used red nylon to create a flat, interior pocket around three sides in the lower half of the bag (see photo below). So if needed, one could insert a strip of closed cell foam or corrugated plastic in the pocket. If not, the pocket can be used for smaller items (maps, bars, gel, wallet, patch kit, tire levers, etc). That said, the XPAC is stiff enough that it keeps upright empty and is stable if you fill it up with stuff. Jacque, the guy I made it for (who maybe posts on here?) is going to send me some feedback and a photo once he's had a chance to test it out on some rides. I'd like to make some modifications and make a few to sell if folks are interested.

Today I finished up a handlebar dry bag which I’ve been working on for the past week or so. It’s constructed of VX21 XPAC fabric and is reinforced with 500D Cordura patches in a few key spots for abrasion resistance. It secures to the handlebars and stem with a system of webbing, buckles and velco and features dry-bag style openings on either end of the bag as well as a small, flat pocket with reflective tape on the front. I also made a detachable, zippered pocket which attaches to the bag via velcro and would work well for carrying a few snacks or a tool kit. Though width is variable between about 12” to 16”, it has a diameter of approximately 7.5” and weighs in at just under 11 ounces (with the add-on pocket).
