Can anyone offer up some instructions, pictures, tutorial, advice or hints for a seat bag? I want to make one but am not sure how to start out. I was thinking of making just a harness for a drybag but, I would rather just make a complete bag. So any help would be greatly appreciated.

Good luck. I asked to borrow one from anybody on this forum, but had no luck. Not ever having seen or finger banged anything like this, I've decided to make this my last project. I've made frame bags, gas tanks, and bar harness/pouch. Now I'm working on a feed bagbof some sort. I'm even planning to make a custom pack before I try a seat bag.
After the time and effort I've put into everything I've made, I can understand why no one wants to share.

I don't think it is a matter of no one wanting to share, but more a matter of the complexity of such a project. The seatpack is, by far, the piece of the common bikepacking kit that requires the most engineering to achieve a well-performing result. Have a look at all the of the better-known, commercially available seatpacks and you will see that they have gone through a fair number of design iterations through the years.
I think that in order to describe the build process on a pack like this, on a forum like this, would be like trying to talk someone through landing on the moon from your bathrobe.
The best advice that I can give is to have a look through all the images on this forum and those that are available elsewhere online, make some sketches, get some cheap materials, and give it a try. Go ride it, then make another one. And another one. I think that the best way anyone can give good critical advice, is when you have something that you have made, that others can look at.
I know this may not be the advice you are looking for, but maybe it can point you in a direction of starting the project.
Good luck and please post some pics! Scott

I made a seatbag from stratch that was functional enough, but my original plan didn't work and so much improvising was needed at the end that I couldn't recall specifics in a coherent fashion.
I'd advise building the first few protos with cheaper packcloth, dial in the dimensions and placement of straps, then make a final bag out of primo fabric.
