I know a lot of people use waterproof fabric, but do you also treat it with any of the spray on solutions?
Have you ever used Rust-Oleum never wet? I;ve seen some demonstrations of it and it looks promising.

Not sure if it's too late for you or not but I have used this

in the boating industry for quite a few years. It holds up amazingly well in really harsh conditions. Awesome stuff, truly.
