Saw this on Lifehacker... kind of amazed that you can get antibiotics like this online without a prescription, but the technique would work for anything you wanted to decant into a smaller container. Insect repellant, gels, toothpaste etc.
Apologies if you guys have seen it before.

I do something similar but I fold the end of the straw over and then put another bit of straw over the end to hold the folded over bit in place. Think I saw a link for this on BPL which went to another site, both great ideas!
