a couple days of commuting with the bag. it works very well. it stays put, but true test is yet to be had when i take it on mountain ride.

Beautiful job! What are all the fabrics? What is the white stuff at the end of the Velcro that attaches the bag to the seatpost and why did you use it?

thanks krampus, fabrics are grey and black xpac for main side, top and bottom panels combined with black cordura center panel. yellow accents is packloth nylon (my sewing machine doesnt like this fabric) . the white stuff is grey reflective tape, just to spice up the things a bit.

What needle size are you using to sew? Usually when my machine "doesn't like" a fabric, I use a bigger needle. I'm in love with #100 jeans needles.
What weight cordura? 500 or 1000?

cordura is 1000, packloth is 400, xpac is terrain, i think i am using #16 or 18 needle, will have to double check, the recommendation for the thread was 14-18 if i remember correctly.

100 is the same needle size as 16. It's confusing-- the needles I have are marked 100/16 Jeans. But sounds like you're using a heavy-duty needle, anyway. Some fabrics are just difficult to sew.

well i should have said, my machine doesnt like that fabric since my wife used it  , she was sewing some quilts and messed my tensions, and now i cant find correct adjustment for the fabric anymore. |

there isnt any step by step tuturial that i know of. i just read myog threads, studied designs from different bag makers and then went ahead with mine. this was one of the first seatbags i made, i have made some progress since design and skill wise. it just takes little practice.
