Front Suspension Gear Mounting

Protect front shock with frame protection tape.

Use a Large Peanut Butter Jar. Drill holes in jar. Use 3+ heavy duty tie wraps to attach. Makes for quick access to my rain gear (jacket and pants) with room to spare.

Another lightweight option, a little larger is a Clorox or Lysol wipe canister. Holds my cooking kit (stove, canister, lighter, and pot). Probably going to add a strap and spray paint black and add stickers.

Testing still in progress.

Test#1 15 miles, 7 on bumpy gravel levee road. Strong headwinds/fast tailwinds on way back. Stove makes too much noise/rattles. No other issues so far.

can you sew a fabric bag?
place your plastic container in the bag to give it form, attach the bag to the fork, and don't put holes in the plastic because trail vibration will turn those little zip ties into saw blades when you have any weight in those jugs
I wouldn't recommend ski strapping thin  plastic containers either; however, if you can find a crush resistant container that serves a double purpose, such as a cook pot, you may have luck

Yes I can sew and have made bags and gear. I like your ideas but not sold on the concept I have seen in other posts.
This is still testing and may fail. Time will tell. I carry an ultralight backpack for food resupplies and if they fail on a long ride I can break that out (backup plan). I don't plan on putting weight in these just light stuff. Good observation, I will see what happens and report back.
I have not tried straps, from what I have seen on rides with other like minded friends is that they are always fiddling with straps.

Like taprider, I would be leery of the connection method over time if not sooner. Same on your groovy 409 panniers. Zip ties, even the ones with the metal gripper, are not very burly. A hose clamp is near overkill but at least it probably will not break. Pretty Rube Goldberg, but hey, you have PB jars on your fork.

I think holes in the plastic would survive if reinforced and not overweighted. Even a layer of tape there will help. I've used pieces of aluminum stock also to reinforce areas and disperse vibration forces from suspected failure points.
