My first MYOG attempt

Having been inspired by JerryW's thread on MYOG I decided to buy an old New Home sewing machine and have a go for myself.  My first piece is a bar bag sling for a dry bag and I am then going to make a seat bag.  And before you ask, no I have never used a sewing machine, but I hope my attempt will inspire others.

could you post a few more pics and how it looks attached to the bike?  I've been wanting to make a bar sling type thing for a while now, but can't exactly visualize how to do the straps/hardware...

Hey...That looks great.  I'm giving it a go for the first time as well.   Never used a machine in my life and yours looks better than mine.  Good job.  Looking forward to seeing the rest of your gear.

Thanks.  For me the key was to make sure you had a clear view in your head of how it would go together and in what order you would stitch.
