I have been interested in making a smaller frame bag from my Fargo that would be geared more toward the commuting end of things. Several other people make bags like this so I owe it to them for the design ideas. It was a pretty easy project and i'm sure will be very useful.

awesome job, clean. If I may ask... What fabric is that, where did you order it from and is it waterproof?

Also... I noticed the specialized ribcage. Just something you had lying around, or did you specifically seek them out?  I ask because use specialized ribcages... almost to a fault, since perhaps the mid 90's. Love them because they never drop a bottle. Great design and lightweight. The new design seems even better then the old.

P.S. Also, someone said you posted a video on here about making a framebag?  I was just digging around looking for it.

Update: found it! http://www.bikepacking.net/forum/index.php/topic,2397.msg24226.html#msg24226

Thanks for the compliments. The fabric is x-pac and I ordered it from Rockywoods.com. The fabric itself is waterproof but of course all the seams are not. I bound all the internal seams with grossgrain which helps. The fabric is amazing. It is light, strong, has structural integrity and is easy to sew.

I did seek out the ribcage, they are great. No dropped bottles and no aluminum mess.
