Here's my Viscacha inspired prototype seat bag I finished last night. Sewn by hand over the past two days while I await a sewing machine. Some minor modifications and I'll begin on a finalized version this weekend.

Are you using some rigid material for the bottom of the bag? in that case i would like to see some pictures.

I am using a rigid material, but it is located in the front corner of the bag to provide reinforcement against the seat post. I am using a thin plastic insert shaped to the nose of the bag. In the image below, it is held in place with two pieces of 2" webbing. The final version will likely have a sleeve to retain the plastic.

Dude, nice work!  Especially considering it's a prototype and sewn by hand.  I just wouldn't have the patience for that.  Smiley

A nice and clean way to make a sleeve for that plastic piece is to sew two pieces of fabric together along the long edges and have that be your front panel.  Then sew one of the ends of the panel as your very last seam of the project and put the plastic in before you sew it up.  Harder to change it out later if you decide to, but that's what your prototype is for, right?  Wink

Wow, that looks awesome. Nice job on the hand sewing, it looks like you did it on a machine. Richard

Thanks. I did make my own pattern...which could use some tweaking.
