Source for YKK zipper sliders

I'm looking for a place to get some #5 and #8 YKK zipper sliders compatible with the water-repellent zippers but without the metal pull, so I can attach cord for a zipper pull instead (less rattling). I'm having a tough time finding these through the usual vendors I get materials from (Rockywoods, Seattle Fabrics, etc). Any one have any recommendations for where to source these? Thanks!

You can go straight through YKK but you have to order 5,000.  I'm in the same boat.  Drives me nuts.  You can always cut the metal pull off.  If you are looking for nickel plated....well...you'll need even more luck.

Thanks for the tip. I was considering just clipping the metal pull off too. Will probably just go that route for now.

I always cut off the zipper pull and put on cord for bar bags and top tube bags so they don't jingle the entire ride.  Frame bag zippers don't jingle for some reason.

Try Seattle Outdoor Fabrics and there area few others in the States. Just search for outdoor fabrics or cordura. Lots of the same stores carry the "simple" and more functional sliders like you want. I know of a German source (extremtextil.de) if anyone needs that info.

Thanks for the comments. I already source materials from Rockywoods, Seattle Fabrics, Quest Outfitters, and a few other spots, and unfortunately haven't had any luck finding zipper sliders that come without the metal pulls from any of these vendors. The last couple of bags I've made recently I just clipped off the metal pull. Seems to work pretty well, though one of the sliders I had has a small piece that sort of blocks the hole where I feed the cord through. It takes some additional fumbling to get cord through but I've made it work.
