Has anyone every considered using this stuff to waterproof, skid-proof, or otherwise ruggedize packs or other equipment? Looks like they have products designed to be applied to fabric. Seems like it could be a good material to apply to packs where they contact the frame to keep the pack from rubbing.

Any other thoughts or ideas?

Edit: Hmm, looks like it's been done before.

If I wanted to ruggedize a fabric, I'd put shoe goo on it.  If I wanted to waterproof it, I'd thin silicone caulk with mineral spirits and paint the fabric.  I've done both and both work.

I've used it on a variety of things. It will rub off. It doesn't really have any adhesion properties. It's a temporary product for the most part. I have done my bars and stem with it, but it peels off the first time you take your brake levers off. I have however applied it to the wheels of my car, and it works well. Basically if you want to spray something with it, make sure it doesn't rub or contact other surfaces frequently

My seatbag got a small hole in it from rubbing on the tire. I used contact cement to attach a piece of old inner tube as a protector. Seems to be working fine.
