I've been making gear for a few years now but this is my first attempt at a clothing item (outside of waterproof mitts).
Made from old stuff I had kicking around from bivy and quilt projects over the years, I've been thinking about making an UL synthetic vest for a while.

Shell: Pertex quantum (not GL)
Insulation: Apex 2.5
Liner: Nobul
I made the pattern myself and the fit is perfect.
Final weight came in at 124g or around 4.4oz.

This vest is meant to come along on rides that extend into the cold and often wet winter nights we have here in BC. It's meant to be ridden in when called upon. I've been riding in synthetic insulation for years at this time of year, when it's wet and cold and I'm starting to chill down nothing beats a synthetic 'comfort' layer to bring the body temp back up.

Looks good. Years ago I made an ultralight synthetic vest from a www.thru-hiker.com kit.  Worked great except I made the arm holes too big/loose.
