Gaiter Fabric

I have a pair of OR gaiters that need some help. The coating on the bottom cordura is totally trashed. I did wear them a fair amount for commuting, but I really don't think I had that many miles on them. Any thoughts on a superior replacement? Or should I just get some cordura and call it good? I do have some X-Pac laying around, but it seems like it would be too stiff for this application.

I would just replace with cordura if your commute is not too crazy. My gaitors are primarily fror keeping snow, rocks and ice out of my boots; waterproofing is secondary. I've had a pair of Serratus knee -highs for 15 years and finally the bottoms are wearing.
I assume you have sewing abilities or access to a sewing machine?
