FWIW-- Is 2.xx oz cuben hybrid much better? I'm 100% road riding, so it can stand to be fragile.

Their 2.xx. Is a lot heavier due to the coating on it for wear resistance otherwise it is the same stuff

Depending on what you will be using it for you could consider their 1.0 oz cuben

Standard thin/tangle type frame bag and a double ended front bar bag to stow a summer-weight bivvy and quilt... 1.0oz too light you think?

At least for the frame bag. For the bar bag you might get away with the 1oz since they use lighter weight .51oz for stuff sacks

Or do a mix and bond the 2.92oz hybrid and the 1.0oz together accordingly for high stress less stress areas. Both are excellent materials but 1.42oz strikes the perfect balance ime. Mixed bonded stuff looks cool.
