I have written a blog post about retrofitting a mid shelter to work with a Titanium Goat wood stove.

This changes everything.

I like it (even though the southwest nights are never too cold). I didn't catch what the 2lbs includes: everything including fire-proof fabric?

Southwestbackcountry- my digital scale is on the fritz so I was unable to do my own weighing. The 2lbs is based off Titanium Goat's information and that is stove and pipe.

Excellent post Bjorn. I love expedition prep posts. There's an uncertainty of the unknown that's exciting to day dream about. Best of luck in your adventure. Anywhere for us to follow along or will we have to wait until the movie?

Addy- thank you. Glad you like it. There are a few more pre-trip posts I would like to generate before we leave. I hope to be able to post updates to the website as we go and if all goes as planned we will carry a DeLorme Inreach which will show our progress.
