We had a chat this morning about coming down the God Dust Trail in the dark...

Ryan only crashed once, which struck me as a major achievement, trying to fix your bike afterwards in the dark is not so much fun.

Craig and Ollie came in together and I asked what happens further down the trail? Apparently something they did not talk about. I did see that Ollie broke away north of Saguache and now Craig seems to be in front.

Ryan was concerned his bike may be in the way, well if you arrive at 10.30pm and are having Breakfast at 5.30am then there will not be too many people to see!

Ryan, with allegedly the first proper opportunity to re hydrate since he started.

I have not been able to keep up with the Posts but Dylan Taylor stopped for Supper and Ryan Correy  knocked on the door at 10.30pm, fed, watered, showered and kit in the washing machine.

I seem to have had a bad year this year, unfortunately the Tour coincide with staff shortage so I have not been able to watch those just passing.

I forgot to mention that we have had Tour Groupies for the first time come up to see the riders passing.

Jarral has gone by, bed time.

I am pretty sure he stayed on the Grade, the Gold Dust is not something to do in the dark.

Looks like Jarral has gone over the top and is on his way down so I will stay up and keep the lights on.

I was thinking Adam would be in Como for 8, but now I see he has gone by.

Jarral will be next, maybe in the morning.

Ice cream and Coke?  Is that really what you should eat for proper nutrition for a 16 day race??!

I did offer him a Beer. He declined.

Serge on his way.

Serge had a beer, Ginger beer, I guess that counts. And a Burrito and ice cream with chocolate sauce.

And lots of water.

I missed some today, I had forgotten that I was doing tours for the Christian Camp up the road, so I have to show 150 around split in to 4 groups. I was theoretically closed today, Tour Riders excepted, due to staff shortage. Open again tomorrow. Anybody out there cook?

Craig required more serious hydration, we have a beer sponsor for this year btw. Well until the money runs out so pedal faster.

Ollie and Craig came in together.

Ollie chose ice cream.

Looks like Chip Andrus may be in tonight, the main field heading South seems a bit behind on previous years.

I do not know when Cjell came past, yesterday was a busy day, somebody said they saw a Cyclist on the Elkhorn heading North so I assume that was him.

David Nice had a beer, sorry forgot to take a photo. He went off with a full breakfast.

Proper re hydration is very important.
120  Forums / Ultra Racing / Re: TD'12 Race Discussion on: June 13, 2012, 10:45:38 PM
Not in South Park, warm, very dry, too dry.

David Nice arrived late tonight heading North, I have had a few tourers come by but my first racer.

Looks like the first of the southbounders will be a few days behind last years pace.
